What is this site?
Bumweiser is an archive, curated for Zero profit. The labor and costs of creating and maintaining this site fall upon the webmaster. The site does not use advertising and does no generate any revenue. The site is a niche pinup art site for illustration and painting, both digital and traditional. The niche is that the art is of females with a view of the posterior.
This site can be useful for art addicts who want to find new artists to follow, fetishists who love female bums or artists who seek reference for their own work.

What isn't on this site?
This site does not include many themes in pinup art including: Bondage, women-in-peril, lolly, muscle, the grotesque. There are other sites for that and you are free to search them out.
This site also tends to exclude 3D art and it does exclude photography.
This site only includes renderings of women that appear sexually mature.
This site does not include renderings of sex acts (by the standard definitions).
This site focuses on pinup that appeals to heteronormative males and therefore does not include male pinup, trans pinup or overtly androgynous pinup.
Those choices have little or nothing to do with personal prejudice and are simply choices made to conform to keeping the site strictly about a very particular niche in art. Thus, it is a marketing strategy and not a political statement of any kind.

Why Me?
If your artwork is on this site, it is likely because you have a prominent gallery on deviantart or somewhere else online. You are featured on this site because your art is of professional quality and the pieces featured on this site are your artworks that portray females from a posterior view.
If you have read other sections of this site, you will note that there are no advertisements on this site and absolutely not attempt is made by the owner of this site to exploit your work for profit. This site exists for the sake of its status as an archive and as a promotional device for artists.
If you are still not satisfied with your art being included on a pinup art website (perhaps you do not consider the valence of your artwork to be erotic and therefore is not pinup), then that is fine and refer to the contact page on this site to request the removal of your art.
If your objection is that your art is not featured prominently enough given your talent, then perhaps we can figure out how to feature you more prominently. Again, refer to the contact page.
If the artwork is commissioned or published by IP owners that do not desire the artwork on the site, then again... refer to the contact page to request removal. In the case that the request is made by so-called Ip owners but their status is vague, then the original artist will have to request removal.

Why not me?
The curation of this art archive reflects a perusal of over one million pieces of art. Mistakes can be made by which an artist is overlooked. The web is a big place and perhaps you are new or your art galleries are harder to find online. If so, you can request having your artwork added to this site. Just use the contact email.
Worth noting is that artwork featured on this site must be of a "professional" caliber and that definition is not determined objectively, but is instead wholly at the discretion of the curator of this archive.
As an artist you will realize that aesthetics are a matter of taste, and taste is individualized.

What is Pinup Poll?
Pinup Poll is a page on this site and is currently featuring news items for this site as well as a promotional plug for Lobotomous Monk's W.A.R. Universe Pinup Series. There may be other promotions in the future and the curator can be contacted regarding possibilities.
What is Battle Bum bowl?
Battle Bum Bowl is a community-oriented contest hosted by this site. Select pinup artworks of known fictional female characters are put into brackets and votes on instagram determine which character moves on to the next round. It is a work in progress and kinks will be worked out over time. Like everything else with this site, there is no attempt to make direct profit from the promotion of any artworks through this site or its online contests and other events.
I want to be featured on bumweiser!
that can be arranged easily... contact the curator.
And Finally...
Aren't you ashamed of yourself?
if this is a religiously-based objection, then the answer is "no" for the reason that I do not purvey this artwork for erotic reasons. This archive is not curated for titillation. The artwork here collectively describes a mentality and an attitude that exists for millions of individuals. If it is good, then let it be free. If it is bad, then let it be known to be understood.
If this is a ideological-based objection (ie. feminism), the the answer is still "no". The main reason for that is this:
Heteronormativity has been attacked in recent years, and its values have been labeled "misogynist" by groups that have no stake in the heteronormative culture. Pinup has a long tradition in art as an expression of beauty and sexuality - but also of strength. The external beauty idealized in the characters of pinup can reflect qualities of their personality and are important for creating a dialectic between the fantasy conjured externally with a potential reality reflected in the world around us.
Power being thrust upon someone has to be managed and it is a precarious battle that reveals much at the psychological level of humanity. In our society, the power of physical beauty often creates challenges that are not met with a strong constitution, or even dignity. The characters of Pinup art seek to defy this common human failing and promote the potential of success for external beauty that is sometimes only possible in fictional fantasy. When beauty corrupts in our world, it can still inspire in the world of art and that is a link and message that should carry meaning between those realms. Physical beauty represents healthiness at the genetic level - there is nothing to fear in that when idealized in a fictional context.
Heteronormative culture should not feel obliged to alter its values because androgynous culture finds it offensive or cannot manipulate the values to exert power. This era is one that should be promoting tolerance on both sides. There are two primary cultures in gender and sexuality - heteronormative and androgynous - and the latter trending and becoming more empowered should not lead to the former being oppressed or considered outdated. The pendulum swinging back and forth at the extremes is not progressive.
Personal values and taste are only judged right and wrong through the minds of fascists. Such things have no relationship with this website. This website and the artwork it displays and promotes are for those who enjoy it... and who enjoy the modes of expression and representation that these artists choose to explore. Those who prefer other modes can seek them out elsewhere.
